VINIFICATION

Wet, cool conditions persisted. From Highbow Hill, a mix of pre-phylloxera and newer blocks were fermented separately with 0–25% whole bunch, then aged in French oak (barriques and puncheons; one-third new) for 11 months.

AROMA & PALATE

Perfumed rose petal and ripe black cherry aromas frame savoury spice and mineral notes. The palate is rich and structured with dusty tannins reflecting the local sedimentary soils.
