95 POINTS - TOP ROSES WINES HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION 2023
“Sangiovese and nebbiolo come together to form this ultra-pale copper-hued rosé. It’s delicious. Lightly aromatic, a squirt of red berries, a sprinkle of fresh basil and lemon balm with lemony freshness guaranteed. A juiciness across the palate, a mere hint of tannins to add some shape but ultimately, this is crisp, racy and seemingly thirst quenching." Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion

TASTING NOTE

The colour is a clear light salmon. The nose has vibrant red fruit and spice aromas, and the palate has juicy fruit flavours and savoury notes. This wine is perfect for sipping on its own and will pair handsomely with a range of foods. A youthful wine made to drink while young and fresh.

WINEMAKING

This wine is made with Sangiovese and Nebbiolo grapes. The fruit was pressed gently, picking up just enough colour on the way. The wine had a short maturation in tank and seasoned oak.

SEASON

The 2021 season was unlike any other. Great quality fruit and mild weather throughout harvest. The vintage was drawn out allowing extra hang time for all varieties. The benefits of this can be seen in particular in this Rosé, layers of flavours and textures.
