WINEMAKING

This Chardonnay was harvested in the cool of the morning and gently pressed whole bunch at our home in Pipers River. Fermented with wild yeast in a blend of new and seasoned Burgundian puncheon barrels and 1000L vats, partial malolactic fermentation enhanced the wine's delicate acidity and balance. After fermentation, the Chardonnay matured in the same barrels for 11 months before blending.

REGION

Tamar Valley, TAS, Australia.
This wine was grown at our Auburn Road Vineyard - on the west bank of the river has weathered basalt soils with mineral variation that produces great flavour complexity. NASAA Organic Certified site since November 2022.
