95 POINTS - HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION
'Fruit comes off 2 unnamed yet disparate sites – one northern and warmer, the other southern and cooler. Destemmed, hand sorted, 2 weeks on skins and aged in French puncheons, 30% new, for 11 months. An excellent dark red with a purple tinge; dark plums, bay leaves, sweet cedary oak, baking spices and an earthy ferrous note set the regional and varietal flavours. It’s deep, rich and concentrated, with plush savoury tannins sashaying across the full-bodied palate, yet this doesn’t feel weighty. It’s complex, detailed and refreshing in its own way.'
