When the first Riesling vines were planted in the Clare Valley 180 years ago, a new international wine style was born. The warm climate of South Australia and the elevated hills of the Clare Valley provide the crucial combination of warm days and cool nights that produce unique Riesling wines with intense ripeness and bright fruit flavours balanced with fresh natural acidity. The Clare’s soils add other distinctive elements to the wines, such as a clean mineral edge.

With their pure fruit and vibrant natural acidity, our Riesling wines age beautifully. The Handpicked 2012 Regional Selections Clare Valley Riesling is still as fresh as the day it was bottled, with bright lemon fruit, mineral notes and zingy acidity, but with bottle age adding hints of toasted nuts, honey and lanolin.
